Custom Manufacturing of Aluminum Mount Assembly Digital Video Recorder for UH-60 BlackHawk Helicopter
One of the primary functions of a UH-60 BlackHawk is reconnaissance. So when we were approached by the military to design a mount assembly DVR that could house a recording device for its state-of-the-art BlackHawk helicopter, needless to say we were honored. After careful consultation of our customer-supplied print, along with elaborate use of 2CAD drawing technology, we fashioned a model we felt would seamlessly match all military specifications. By way of advanced processes like 2D laser cutting, CNC milling, and Brakepress, we constructed and assembled a 4-lb., 12.5" x 12" x 3" product with a tolerance precision of +.0005".

We practiced conversion coating of the mount’s aluminum parts according to MIL-DTL-5541, Class 3. Then we primed it per MIL-PRF-85582 Type 1, Class C1, and anodized per IAW MIL-A-6825 specs. The finishing touch was the paint-job, performed in accordance with MIL-PRF-85285 color 36231 specs. We are confident in stating that our camera mounts will be of pivotal use to the functions of the UH-60.
