CNC Machining of Aluminum Power Distribution Box for the Military Industry

The power distribution box pictured above was CNC machined by J & N Metal engineers for the military, to be used as a component of a mini-gun. We combined our machining, painting, conversion coating, and silk screen printing operations to manufacture this box based on customer supplied prints meeting tolerances as tight as +.001/-.003 of an inch.
The 8 x 8 x 5 inch box was constructed out of aluminum material, and a 5541 alodine conversion coating was applied to all the units various aluminum components. After manufacturing was complete, the 2-pound part was delivered to our clients facility located in Crane, Indiana. |
